ProCredit Saving and Loans Company Ltd. has officially launched this year’s WHAT’S YOUR DREAM promotion. This is part of a six-month Savings Campaign which is giving clients the opportunity to save actively towards a brighter future. As well as having a promotional element, the campaign also has an educational dimension. As a responsible financial institution which prides itself in encouraging a savings culture within the communities in which it operates, the company believes that in as much as credit can help clients meet their needs, a stronger savings culture could do the same at a lower cost. That is very essence of the campaign.
The launch coincided with the World Savings Day, and the Deputy General Manager, Raymond Kwakye Bismarck, used the opportunity to let the general public know that saving is not just the reserve of some select few. Everyone can do this, irrespective of their status, occupation, or level of income. Getting onto the savings wagon, he explained, takes only a few lifestyle adjustments like reducing expenditure, minimising impulse buying and avoiding over-indebtedness. He concluded that savings can start in a very small way; as funds are accumulated, they can then be deposited in a savings account in order to earn interest and also to guarantee the safety of one’s well-earned funds.
In explaining the promotional aspect of the campaign, Mr. Bismarck explained that it had been earmarked, What’s Your Dream Promotion, to let both its clients and the general public know that whatever their aspirations are, be it owning a home, providing quality healthcare for the family, expanding their businesses or providing quality education for their wards, they can save to achieve this.
The promotion is giving the general public the opportunity to save towards their dreams, and stand the chance of winning over GHC 350 000 worth of prizes in two quarterly draws: a mini one in February 2012 and a grand finale in May 2012. To participate in these draws, the general public is invited to open, or in the case of current clients, maintain a savings account at any of the company’s branches nationwide, and commit to depositing multiples of GHC 200 from now till 30th April, 2011. These funds must remain in their accounts for a minimum of one month in order to qualify them for the draw.
Among the many prizes at stake is an executive health insurance cover for a family, worth over GHC 150 000; a full year’s scholarship for the winner’s wards; a fully-funded business trip abroad, investment in a high-earning fixed deposit or savings account as well as great consolation prizes.
The company hereby encourages the general public to join in this promotion today for a better tomorrow.
